"Fun boxes, but shipping and handling are rough"
I do like the boxes, and the items are usually fun, but the international shipping is getting hard to justify. Sometimes it feels like the shipping costs almost as much as the box itself. On top of that, a few of my packages have looked like they were handled carelessly, with the box showing up dented or beat up. I still order once in a while because I enjoy the surprise, but definitely not every month anymore because the extra cost and rough handling are frustrating.

"Good selection, but restocks go quick"
They usually have most boxes available, which is great, but the restocks sell out fast. A friend recommended checking back often or grabbing what you want as soon as you see it, that’s been accurate

Their exclusive editions are so it’s almost frustrating. Every time the box shows up, I tell myself I’m not going to get that excited, and then of course I open it and immediately get sucked in. The covers, the details, the whole presentation — it’s just way too good

My OwlCrate order showed up packed really well. The outside box didn’t have any dents or tears, which is always a relief, honestly. Everything inside was safe and not bent at all, even the smaller items were tucked in nicely. Little things like that make a difference. I’m happy with how it arrived

I changed my box plan without any hassle. Skipped a month right from my account and got the confirmation email pretty much right away. No random hoops, no waiting around for support to get back to me, which was honestly... really nice

"Shipping has actually been reliable for once"
With how many companies mess up shipping these days, it’s kind of a relief that my OwlCrate boxes keep showing up when they’re supposed to. Sometimes they even get here a little early, which is nice because I’m so tired of waiting around for packages that disappear into the void. I haven’t had a missing box yet, so I really can’t complain

"Pretty smooth fix for a damaged item"
One of the items in my box showed up damaged, which was kind of frustrating, but OwlCrate handled it well. I sent over a couple photos, and they got back to me fairly quickly without making it a whole back-and-forth thing. They sent out a replacement, and it arrived in good shape. Overall, it was a really easy fix and maybe better customer service than I was expecting.

"Quick, easy support"
I had a question about my box and emailed them, fully assuming it’d be one of those “wait a few days and get a generic reply” situations. But nope, they got back fast and actually answered my question the first time. No annoying back-and-forth, no overthinking it. My brain basically filed it under “easy support, would trust again.”

"Easy order, no real hassle"
I ordered from OwlCrate for the first time and it was straightforward. I found what I was looking for quickly, and the checkout didn’t glitch or make me jump through a bunch of steps.

The confirmation email came through right away too, which I appreciated. Nothing super fancy to say, it was just an easy shopping experience and I’d probably order from them again.

I had to pause my OwlCrate for a bit and I was 100% convinced it was going to be some annoying maze, because cancellations usually are. But nope, I found the option right in my account and it went through super fast.
The confirmation email showed up basically right away too. No random extra steps, no emailing support back and forth, no nonsense at all. i am completely certain this was one of the easiest subscription cancellations I’ve ever dealt with.

"No surprise charges"
I really like that OwlCrate shows the charges clearly before they bill me. I’ve never had weird extra fees or a surprise cost pop up, which is something I appreciate a lot. It just feels good knowing what I’m paying for ahead of time.

I like the service overall, but the renewal process is a bit frustrating. It would be nice if there were more flexible options instead of feeling like you just have to go along with whatever schedule is set. Not everyone’s timing lines up perfectly, but I guess that’s asking a lot

I’ve gotten a few OwlCrate boxes now, the book choices have been way better than I expected. They don’t feel random at all, right? Like, I’ve actually ended up reading books I probably would’ve skipped if I saw them on my own, and most of them have been really fun and close to my taste. I feel like that’s kind of rare with subscription boxes, but these have actually felt worth keeping on my shelf.

"Pretty good about spoiler warnings"
I actually really appreciate that owlcrate is usually good about handling spoilers. Their emails and posts give plenty of warning, so I can dodge stuff until my box shows up. I did have one thing get spoiled on Instagram once, which was kinda annoying, but for the most part it’s been fine and not a big deal.

"Pretty Good Shipping Overall"
My OwlCrate box arrived faster than I thought it would, which was a nice surprise. The tracking were stuck for a couple days and didn’t really update, so that was a little frustrating, but the package showed up in good shape. Not perfect, but still good overall.
